Joann Lutz, MSW, is a Licensed Psychotherapist and Certified Yoga Therapist, and is the developer of Nervous-System Informed, Trauma- Sensitive Yoga (NITYA), and the author of the book Trauma Healing in the Yoga Zone. She is currently teaching mental health professionals how to bring nervous-system informed, trauma-sensitive yoga into mental health care, and is a trainer for The Light Movement, training volunteers to bring embodied healing practices to people who are grieving. She is the founder and co-producer of two US National Conferences on Yoga in Mental Health Care.
