When clients have experienced trauma or are suffering from anxiety, addiction, depression and other mental health conditions...
… a dysregulated nervous system is often at the heart of the issue.
If clients do not feel safe in their own bodies, they cannot access the parts of themselves they need for truly deep healing to take place.
Polyvagal theory provides us with the science-based, practice-proven roadmap that has helped thousands of clients manage and rewire their nervous system...
...so that they can quickly move from states of fear and disconnectedness to states of calm and connection that nurture extraordinary therapeutic progress.
Deb Dana, LCSW has revolutionised the way we work with our client’s nervous system, which is why internationally recognised clinicians such as Bessel van der Kolk, Janina Fisher, Pat Ogden and many others have integrated Polyvagal theory into their practises.
And now, in this FREE online CPD course, you can discover how to apply Polyvagal theory with your own clients directly from world-renowned Polyvagal expert, trainer and author Deb Dana, LCSW!

Essential Strategies for Creating Safety and Connection With Trauma Clients
This free online CPD course with Deb Dana will help to explain why clients can get stuck in either a hyper-aroused or hypo-aroused state - and gives you the theory and insight you need to help them return to a place of calm and safety. The course is split into three modules:
MODULE 1 - Polyvagal Essentials
With Deb Dana, LCSW and Tracy Jarvis
You’ll learn the essential theory and practises behind Polyvagal theory through an engaging discussion between Deb and PESI UK Director and UKCP psychotherapist Tracy Jarvis. They discuss the client's nervous system and the vital role it plays in healing... plus how to use co-regulation in your practice to promote safety and connection with your clients.
MODULE 2 - Listening to Autonomic Stories
With Deb Dana, LCSW
Deb shows you the importance of the autonomic stories our bodies hold that are shaped by the beliefs we have around who we are and how the world works. She demonstrates how you can map states of mobilization, collapse and connection in clients by having them listen with curiosity to what their bodies are telling them.
MODULE 3 - Travelling the Pathways of Neuroception
With Deb Dana, LCSW
In the final module, Deb takes you below the conscious level of awareness to explore how the autonomic nervous system takes in information through the subconscious pathways of “neuroception”. She then equips you with strategies you can use to track neuroceptive signals of danger and safety in your clients, so you can create the conditions they need to move from protection into connection.
