Description

Suicidal people need more than to stay alive. They also need to find life worth living. This recording synthesizes several concrete tips and techniques from a variety of evidence-based practices, including cognitive therapy for suicide prevention, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, problem-solving therapy, and more. Stacey Freedenthal, PhD, LCSW, is an associate professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and a psychotherapist in private practice. She’s the author of Helping the Suicidal Person: Tips and Techniques for Professionals and created the website Speaking of Suicide.
